Peepal Tree

I got 2 stem cuttings from this single plant, growing on the side of a road divider. The roots were below the road and the top of the 2 trunks went into the side wall. I suspect it formed roots there. The only way to extract this was to cut the top & bottom with a hacksaw blade.

Sheesham Tree No.1

Uprooted and brought home a Dalbergia Sissoo tree, also known as Sheesham tree.

Lantana Shrub

I found this uprooted stump at a construction site. I had no idea of the tree species until 3½ months later I realized that is a flowering woody shrub. The leaf shape, smell & the tiny thorns led to the identification finally. I never knew this common shrub could grow a trunk as thick as a tree !

I collected a trunk with some roots, from the bunch below. Potted into a nylon net bag, used for fruits & veggies in fridge. 1 part coconut peat, 1 part coarse pebbly sand  & 2 parts soil. The bag is resting on 3 big rocks inside the pot, so aeration happens from below too.

Ficus Benjamina Cuttings

Today, some trees were pruned by gardeners of our residential complex and I collected 4 cuttings of Ficus Benjamina.

3 of them didn't survive my ignorance.
