Bonsai Vacation Watering

Before going on vacation, all my bonsai plants from the 2 balconies of my flat / apartment were brought into my dining room & kept next to a full height glass wall that separates the balcony from the dining room. Plenty of indirect light was available this way.

Can My Bonsai Survive A Vacation Of 14 Days In Apartment / Flat ?

A tub of water was kept elevated in the center and my pots were placed all around it. I used cotton wicks and some strips of old cloth for supplying water to the pots. Despite my low expectations, all plants were alive when I returned home on Oct 4. So, this experiment was a 100% success !

3 reasons for my success :

1) I had pruned the top to reduce water consumption
2) More soil in my mix during last re-potting ensured longer water retention
3) Cloudy to rainy weather ensured cooler temperatures & higher humidity.

UPDATE : The ficus cutting seen at 3:57 lost all its leaves & died yesterday, 2 weeks after I returned from vacation. It was already a weak & sensitive plant before leaving itself. It was the bigger cutting seen in my video called Water Bonsai - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGi4WG9IaR0
