Peepal Tree Seedling For Mini Bonsai

The original plant in this plastic cup had died and was thrown away. I kept watering only because a grass had sprouted, providing some greenery in my nursery. Then on Oct 1, 2015 I realized that this tiny plant on the right was a Peepal tree seedling and not a weed, since I saw young leaves on another Peepal tree branch.

Most people would not recognize it at this stage because the leaf looks very different from the heart-shaped one of a slightly older plant. This plant usually grows in odd places where other plants simply would not, between cracks in walls, on the side or base of road dividers etc. So, to have one sprout in my container at home it
is very unusual and a first for me. Hard to believe that this unusually tiny plant can become a giant tree, mainly because other common trees have bigger seeds and seedlings.

2 months later.  Made a hole at the bottom of this plastic bottle cap for a wick.

Placed inside a mini clay pot with some water / wet sand.
