Pests - Caterpillars

Pest Species : Caterpillars

Its Usual Target In My Collection : Broad leaved plants usually

There are 2 sources of caterpillars :

1) Butterfly / moth eggs were already present on the leaf undersides of the collected plant, which later hatched

2) Butterfly / moth laid eggs after the plant in your possession was checked & cleaned.

Presence of caterpillars should be suspected when you see leaves which are bitten or have holes in them. Caterpillar droppings below a plant are another evidence of their presence. The droppings will be mustard to pepper-sized dark green balls usually.

Bigger the pest, the easier it is to detect and kill.
